Coconut Mallow Cookies

3 egg whites
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
2 2/3 cup flaked coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Walnut halves or candled cherries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine egg whites and cornstarch in saucepan. Stir in marshmallow creme, coconut, and vanilla. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium-low heat 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Top with walnuts or cherries. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
