| Hamburger Stew Recipe by : More-with-Less Cookbook
Ingredients :
1 lb. ground beef
2 cups tomato juice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup diced carrots
2 tsp. salt
2 T. butter
2 T. flour
2 cups milk
Instructions :
Brown ground beef in heavy kettle. Drain fat and add tomato juice, onion, potatoes,
carrots and salt. Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender. (at least 20 minutes)
White sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, add milk, stirring until sauce thickens. Blend
into first mixture and serve.
Serves 6
