Crab Meat Cheese Buns

2 cups shredded process American cheese (about 8 ounces)
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 can (7 1/2 ounces) crab meat, drained and cartilage removed
6 hamburger buns, split
Melt cheese and butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; stir in crab meat. Place buns cut side up on broiler rack; spread each half with crab meat mixture. Set oven control to broil and/or 550 degrees. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat about 2 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
